A Lot of Fans Aren’t Convinced Hector Bellerin is Staying at Arsenal Despite Deal

Hector Bellerin finally signed his new Arsenal contract this afternoon, meaning all of the speculation linking him with Barcelona and Man City can finally stop – or so you’d think, anyway.

After cementing his place in the Gunners’ starting line-up, and breaking into the Spain squad, the 21-year-old right-back has put pen-to-paper on a six-and-a-half year contract thought to be worth in the region of £100,000 per week.

You would’ve thought that Arsenal fans everywhere would be rejoicing at the news, and most of them are.

However, there’s still quite a few cynics who are convinced the news is nothing more than a smokescreen before Bellerin is punted to La Liga over the next year or so.

There’s just no pleasing some people:

What do you think? Would Bellerin have signed a new contract if he still had intentions of leaving? Are some supporters right to be sceptical?
