It Looks Like Efe Ambrose’s Celtic Career is Finally Coming to a Close

Try and stay calm, Celtic fans – it looks like Efe Ambrose‘s time at Parkhead could be coming to an end after it was revealed he’s been offered a trial with English Championship side Wolves.

According to the Daily Record, Ambrose is yet to accept the invitation from the Midlands club, who are currently managed by former Celtic skipper Paul Lambert.

However, the likelihood of the Nigerian international leaving the Glasgow giants in the January transfer window seems quite high, given his lack of game-time this season.

In fact, the 28-year-old has played just two competitive matches under Brendan Rodgers; he turned out against semi-pro side Lincoln Red Imps and Kazakh side Astana in the Champions League qualifiers.

But his complete howler against Lincoln seemed to be the end of the line, and Rodgers has relegated Ambrose’s status ever since.

He might have been a bit of a bomb scare at times – but surely some Celtic fans will miss big Efe?! Come on, look at that cheeky grin!
