Joey Barton Smashed Up and Binned Coffee Machine He Bought Rangers Team-Mates

Joey Barton smashed up and binned a coffee machine he bought for the Rangers first team in pre-season.

According to our sources, the English midfielder bought it for the first team dressing room before the campaign kicked off.

But with his exit from the club set to be confirmed, he went to collect his things from Auchinhowie yesterday and smashed the machine up before throwing it in the bin.

It appears that was Barton’s final act before leaving the club’s training ground for the last time.

It’s since been reported that he has been signed off with stress by a doctor and reports say a pay-off between the player and the club is close to being agreed.

And that means Barton could be a free agent well before the January transfer window opens.

He was suspended by the club for a training ground incident in the aftermath of the 5-1 defeat to rivals Celtic in September and was continually told to stay away before being cleared to return and train with the youth team last Thursday.

But the former Manchester City, Newcastle, QPR, Marseille and Burnley man lasted just one session before smashing up the coffee machine and leaving the training ground.
