Kieran Tierney Gets Selfie With Conor McGregor at UFC Belfast

Kieran Tierney got a selfie with Conor McGregor while attending the UFC event in Belfast on Saturday.

The Celtic defender was supposed to be heading to New York with his team-mates last weekend to watch McGregor fight Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

But an ankle ligament injury has ruled him out of action for two months – he revealed that he was also ruled out of travelling to the US to take in the fight.

Tierney missed a memorable night, as the UFC put on a sensational card at Madison Square Garden, topped off with McGregor’s win over Alvarez to become the first fighter to hold belts in two divisions simultaneously.

If I was Tierney, that would be enough to put me into a deep depression.

But it worked out alright as the Hoops full-back got the chance to attend UFC Belfast last night, where McGregor was in attendance to show his support for training partner Artem Lobov in his fight with Teruto Ishihara.

Tierney made sure he didn’t miss the opportunity to get a selfie with the Irish fighter:

For fans of Tierney and McGregor, that’s a picture plenty will enjoy.
