Manchester United Fans Raving About Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Backheel Assist

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was restored to the Manchester United starting line-up this evening and it took the Armenia international just one minute to make a sizeable impact on the game.

The former Borussia Dortmund play-maker has found opportunities hard to come by at Old Trafford since his summer move, but his assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic tonight was absolutely sublime.

Receiving a brilliant through-ball from Wayne Rooney, Mkhitaryan spotted the run of his Swedish colleague and proceeded to elegantly backheel the ball into the line of his run:

Following his starting berth against Feyenoord last week, it now looks like Mkhitaryan is slowly but surely winning Jose Mourinho over and, as you can imagine, the club’s supporters reacted perfectly calmly to seeing the 27-year-old’s magical bit of play:

You get the picture  – surely it’s now beyond doubt that Henrikh should be an automatic pick for the time being at United, no?

What do you make of the assist?
