2016 first overall pick Jared Goff will finally get the chance to start as the Los Angeles Rams match up with the Miami Dolphins in Week 11.
Fans have been calling for Goff to start, often times very audibly at the LA Memorial Coliseum, as the Rams have under performed in their first season back in The City of Angels, standing at 4-5, with last week’s win coming by way of a victory sealing interception as Case Keenum, the Rams now-former starting QB, did not score a touchdown, leading to a 9-6 victory in a rather boring game.
Head Coach Jeff Fisher is probably hoping not only to kickstart his team, but to save his job, as fans are very unhappy with the coach who will likely become the record holder for most coaching losses by the end of the season. Many are calling for a complete rebuild to go along with the move, wanting Fisher and General Manager Les Snead to be fired.
The Tennessee Titans are definitely keeping an eye on this situation, as they hold the Rams’ first round pick in the upcoming draft, and are certainly rooting against a successful homecoming season. The Titans aquired that pick by trading the first overall pick to LA that they used on Goff.
Time will tell if he’ll join the man drafted after him, Eagles QB Carson Wentz, as standouts despite being labeled as the stars of a poor QB draft class.
