They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and it certainly looks like Anton Rodgers has inherited a lot of his father’s footballing acumen.
The 23-year-old spent a lot of youth career alongside his father Brendan as he coached at Chelsea’s youth academy, before moving on to Brighton and Hove Albion where he won several caps for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-19 side.
After being highly-rated initially, Rodgers jr’s career seemed to go a little quite for a while, but it certainly looks as though he’s doing OK at current club Swindon Town.
Playing for the struggling League One side, who are currently 18th in the table, Anton came up with an absolutely free-kick at home to promotion-chasers Bradford City at the weekend.
Some might even say it was Nakamura-esque:
That's how you take a free-kick! ?

There was absolutely no stopping that, eh? And to make the strike even sweeter, it proved to be the only goal and ensured Rodgers won his side all three points.
Could he be one for his dad to keep an eye on at Celtic? What do you think?
