Video: PSG’s Marco Verratti’s Scores Comical Own Goal Against Arsenal

Arsenal were given a big helping hand in their quest to reach the last-16 of the Champions League against PSG tonight – by none other than Marco Verratti.

The Gunners went into their penultimate group stage game knowing a victory would pretty much secure top-spot and potentially mean a slightly easier draw in the last-16.

With the match evenly poised at 1-1, Arsene Wenger’s men piled on the pressure in front of an expectant home crowd, and the finally got their rewards – even if it did come from a slightly unlikely source, and in a slightly comedic fashion:

He might be one of the world’s most cultured midfielders, and undoubtedly a class act, but sometimes there’s just no accounting for a bizarre touch at the wrong time.
