Martin Odegaard showed shades of Cristiano Ronaldo at the weekend, as the Real Madrid youngster scored a cheeky free-kick under the wall of SS Reyes.
Madrid’s Castilla team eventually lost the game 2-1, however, Odegaard’s audacious goal has since been compared to one notched by CR7 vs Bayern Munich.
Odegaard signed for the La Liga giants back in 2015, having burst on the scene with Strømsgodset in his native Norway.

However, the youngster has failed to make the sort of impact he would have liked and has made just one senior appearance for the club so far, one which then-manager Carlo Ancelotti labelled a “PR stunt”.
The 18-year-old appears to have pushed on somewhat this season though, churning out a string of impressive performances for Castilla, the hightlight of which may have been his freekick goal at the weekend:
