Ovie Ejaria becoming an England player is looking more and more likely after his second appearance for the country’s Under 20 team.
The Liverpool youngster has been gradually making the breakthrough under Jurgen Klopp over recent months.
He’s got three first team appearances to his name now, starting against Tottenham in the EFL Cup two weeks ago before climbing off the bench in his side’s 6-1 league win over Watford at the weekend.
Ejaria can represent Nigeria and has intimated in the past that’s what he’ll do – but it appears England have stolen in for his allegiances after handing him U20 caps recently.
The 19-year-old midfielder played against Germany last month and has followed that up with a start against South Korea this morning.
And Liverpool fans will be happy to see him get on the scoresheet, albeit with the aid of a wicked deflection:

Despite the finish, it was a lovely team move from England for their opening goal.
England actually beat South Korea 8-1 yesterday in Suwon, but today’s teams look totally different with a number of players rested on both sides.
