Guarani FC defender Antonio Ferreira went totally bonkers this week after being shown a red card during a match in Brazil’s third division.
With his team down 2-0 against Boa, Ferreira lost his temper and was spotted elbowing an opposition player as he struggled to keep possession.
As you’d expect, the referee ran over and immediately showed the full-back a straight red card.
However, Ferreira then went into full Hulk mode, pushing the official onto his backside and having to be restrained by his teammates.
Not that it stopped there, as it took the Guarani players and coaching staff attempted to remove Ferreira from the field:
According to Globo Sporte, the referee, Marcos Mateus Pereira wrote the following during his post-match report:
“After the expulsion the expelled athlete came in me and beat me with a push on his chest throwing me to the ground.
“It should be noted that the athlete had to be restrained by his companions to the entrance of the military police in the field and offered resistance to leave the field of play”
Talk about having a bad day at the office…
