Video: Rio Ferdinand Reveals Rooney and Ronaldo’s Prank on Sir Alex Ferguson

Rio Ferdinand has launched a defence of Cristiano Ronaldo by insisting that the Real Madrid and Portugal superstar is always up for a laugh, despite what many people think of his sour attitude at times.

Ferdinand and Ronaldo played together at Manchester United for the best part of a decade, winning just about everything there was to win – including the Champions League in 2008.

But despite often throwing tantrums on the pitch and giving team-mates abuse for not passing to him, Ferdinand insists that Ronaldo is actually a fun-loving character, and detailed one particularly funny prank on Sir Alex Ferguson as evidence:

To be fair to Ronny, that is a pretty decent prank but he must’ve been taking his brave pills beforehand to even consider doing something like that to Sir Alex Ferguson.

We’re sure that Sir Alex saw the funny side – but we wonder if he’d have been so easy going if had been Bebe grabbing his leg.

Just a thought.
