Werder Bremen Cheekily Thank Arsenal For Serge Gnabry After Hat-Trick

Werder Bremen have cheekily thanked Arsenal for giving them Serge Gnabry after the attacking midfielder’s hat-trick for Germany.

Gnabry made his debut for his country in their World Cup qualifier away at San Marino after making a great start to life as a Bundesliga player.

Arsenal fans will be well aware of the 21-year-old after he broke into their team four years ago.

But he was unable to really make a consistent dent in Arsene Wenger’s first team and was eventually sold to Werder on the final day of the summer transfer window.

Since then, he’s been very impressive, scoring four goals and assisting another in nine games so far.

That form led him to earn a call-up for Joachim Low’s squad for tonight’s match and he bagged a hat-trick after getting a start.

Werder were obviously well aware of what their man was doing – and brilliantly reacted to his goals on Twitter:

We wonder if Wenger and Arsenal fans will be regretting letting Gnabry go when they see him in this form?
