Zlatan Ibrahimovic Sticks Up For Henrik and Jordan Larsson Following Fan Attack

Henrik Larsson and his son Jordan have received a welcome message of support from none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic following dramatic scenes as Helsingborgs were relegated at the weekend.

As we told you at the time, following a 2-1 home defeat to Halmstad, Helsingbrogs were relegated from the Swedish top-flight for the first time in 23 years, and manager Henrik could only watch on helplessly as fans rushed the pitch to remove his son’s jersey in a show of anger.

Indeed, Henrik was ready to fight with some of the supporters if he had to and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has offered the Celtic legend some back-up should he need it.

Speaking via the Daily Record, Zlatan said of the incident:

“Henrik has me behind him, so he doesn’t have to worry.

“I have spoken to him and my first question was where was the security?

“It should never have been allowed to happen at this level. Where the people who were supposed to prevent this?

“Football brings people together. Whoever you are, you are welcome.

“But the people who were on the field should never have been there. If they want to fight, go into a ring and fight one on one there, no problem.”

Henrik Larsson is a legend to Helsingborgs fans and has his own bronze statue outside their stadium, but it remains to be seen whether or not he and Jordan will be at the club next season to lead a promotion charge.
