Arsenal Send Other Football Clubs A Truly Wonderful Christmas Card

It looks like topping their Champions League group has put Arsenal right in the festive spirit.

The Gunners’ 4-1 win over FC Basel sent them through to the last 16 as Group A winners on Tuesday night.

Gunners’ festive cheers

And after fighting off big-spending French champions PSG for pole position, they didn’t waste any time in celebrating.

The North London club sent out their very own Christmas cards just a two days later – and they’re truly wonderful.

We don’t know what it is about Arsenal and Christmas – they just seem to love it over at the Emirates.

And the beneficiaries of their festive spirit this year include Carlisle United.

The League Two high-flyers tweeted their joy at receiving the annual season’s greetings from the Premier League giants.

The cad featured the entire Arsenal squad – joined by Arsene Wenger and his staff – all wearing matching Christmas jumpers.

No rest

They can’t afford to take their feet off the gas for 2016 just yet following their European heroics in midweek.

Wenger’s men are still hot on the heels of Premier League leaders Chelsea, trailing by just three points heading towards towards the festive run-in.

And they’ll continue their pursuit of Antonio Conte’s side when they host Stoke City at the Emirates on Saturday.
