Celtic Fans Rave About Stuart Armstrong After Goal and Assist at Fir Park

Celtic fans are absolutely raving about Stuart Armstrong‘s performance against Motherwell today after the midfielder came up with a goal and an assist at Fir Park.

The former Dundee United midfielder endured a bit of a disappointing campaign last season after being deployed mainly as a left midfielder under previous manager Ronny Deila.

However, the arrival of Brendan Rodgers has reignited Armstrong’s career at Celtic Park and he’s looked like a player transformed in the last few weeks.

After ousting Nir Bitton from the starting line-up, Armstrong has gone from strength to strength, as evidenced by his performance against Motherwell.

Celtic trailed 2-0 at half-time, but a goal and an assist for Patrick Roberts from Armstrong helped kick-start the Hoops’ comeback – with the Premiership champions going on to win 4-3.

Tom Rogic may have got the winner, but there’s no doubting who Celtic fans saw as the hero today:

It does beggar belief that Armstrong hasn’t been given an opportunity by Scotland manager Gordon Strachan – surely it can’t be too long now?

What do you think of his run of form at the moment?
