Leigh Griffiths to Make a Young Celtic Fan’s Christmas With Boots Gift to Dad

Leigh Griffiths will make a young Celtic fan’s Christmas after promising to send his dad some signed boots.

Hoops supporter Joe Doran got in touch with the Scottish striker via Twitter to ask what boots he wears because his son wanted the same from Santa:

Griffiths tells the fan he wears Nike Mercurial Vapor, but then goes on to promise that he’ll sort the youngster out with a pair of signed boots as a special treat:

That’s a great gesture from Griffiths – and should make the Christmas of the young Celtic fan who considers the striker as his idol.

Leigh Griffiths will be hoping his boots see a bit more action in the coming weeks after the difficult he’s found to regain his place in Brendan Rodgers’ team.

An injury in September gave Moussa Dembele the opportunity to play at the top of Celtic’s attack and he hasn’t disappointed since, keeping Leigh Griffiths on the bench after his recovery.

But the Scot may get more of a chance with the games coming thick and fast over the next two weeks.
