A Rangers fan has shared a funny fake club email notifying supporters of a ban on ‘the Bouncy’ while Ibrox undergoes vital structural work.
It’s just the latest entertaining story to involve the Govan side after some Celtic fans yesterday recommended their support to wear hard hats to Ibrox for the Hogmanay game between the teams over fears that the stadium roof may cave in.
That story proved popular on our pages – and it’s been followed up by this funny tweet, which many have believed to be a real email from Rangers informing fans of a ban on ‘the Bouncy’.
It was created by the Gers fan in charge of the popular Twitter account @Gregco5088:
Everyone get this email from Rangers today? pic.twitter.com/VflGvtjLOY

At first glance, it may look real – and Rangers have been partial to a bizarre club statement in the past – but we’re pretty sure Ibrox either wouldn’t be opened for fans or work could be done out-with games if the stadium needed it.
The tweet has proven very popular with Gers supporters who seem to be enjoying all the talk about Ibrox falling apart.
Now we’ve had stolen water, unpaid roll shop bills and a falling Ibrox roof – we’re looking forward to the next ridiculous story to come out of the club.
