Some Rangers supporters found themselves embroiled in an unlikely Twitter spat on Tuesday evening – with fans of the girl band Little Mix.
In case you’re not quite up to speed, Gers fans have been campaigning for the last week or so to try and get Glad All Over by The Dave Clark Five to the top of the music charts in time for it to be Christmas No.1.
They’ve adopted the tune and reworked it slightly to pay homage to striker Joe Garner, but the Rangers fan base probably never anticipated irritating teenage girls all over the country.
Glad All Over is in direct competition with Little Mix’s new song Touch, with the British group aiming to scoop their fifth No.1 and their first-ever Christmas No.1.
Amazingly, fans from both sides ended up trading insults – much to the delight of onlookers like ourselves:
I'm sorry but if that joke football song ruins Touch's chance of being #1, I am deleting my account

Oooh it's Rangers fans attacking Little Mix for no reason. That doesn't surprise me, they're Rangers fans. A good portion of them are scum.

After a while, a lot of Rangers fans started to see the funny side and joined in with some of the banter. Some of these are absolutely priceless:
Anyone else expecting the next song from little mix to be your not rangers anymore

Absolutely brilliant.
We must say, we never expected a fall-out between Rangers supporters and Little Mix fans when we woke up this morning. What do you make of the spat?
