Some Celtic Supporters Planning on Wearing Hard Hats to Ibrox on New Year’s Eve

Some of Celtic‘s support are planning on wearing hard hats to Ibrox for the clash against Rangers on New Year’s Eve – in faux fear of the stadium’s roof caving in.

It has been well documented in the past that Rangers’ money troubles have contributed towards the iconic Govan venue falling into disrepair somewhat over the past five years or so.

The league match against Dumbarton was delayed by 10 minutes back in 2015 amidst concerns about the roof,  whilst the issue reared its head again in the summer, when Dave King was forced to issue a statement about the state of the ground.

Always looking out for an opportunity to wind-up their bitter rivals, Celtic fans that are heading to the festive clash have started the campaign on social media for their fellow supporters to turn up sporting builder’s attire – and it appears that some are actually up for it:

We understand a few fans might not be entirely serious – but should we really expect supporters to travel to the game wearing these hard hats? Will they even be allowed in?
