John O’Shea taking on Seb Larsson at a game of Speak Out is as hilarious as you’d expect.
In case you aren’t aware of the game, it sees players put a mouthpiece in to separate their lips from their gums before trying to say sentences on cards.
Like Pie Face last year, Speak Out should be a popular game played among families at Christmas time.
So Sunderland decided to get their own game and grab two players to take it on – O’Shea and Larsson – and the results were unsurprisingly hilarious.
The Black Cats YouTube team came up with some difficult English Premier League sentences, but it turns out O’Shea ended up easier to understand than when he doesn’t have the mouthpiece in:

This is the sort of Christmas creativity we love from football teams.
And it’s good to see the players having fun despite the disappointment of Sunderland sitting in the relegation zones in the Premier League.
