Kenny Miller has handed Rangers a 1-0 lead in the first 20 minutes of today’s Old Firm clash against Celtic.
However, while Miller will take credit, it was a goal that was practically gift-wrapped by some horrific defending from Celtic’s back four.
Erik Sviatchenko conceded possession in his own half, allowing Josh Windass to release an inch-perfect pass into an on-rushing James Tavernier.
The former Wigan defender then broke down the right, before firing a low cross into Celtic’s six yard box, where Miller broke free and turned the ball into Craig Gordon’s net:
The goal may have sent the Rangers fans into dream land, but it came at a price, with Joe Garner slipping and falling awkwardly on his shoulder.
The former Preston frontman lay in agony as Miller handed Mark Warburton’s men the lead and had to be stretchered off an replaced by Martyn Waghorn.
Will Rangers be able to hold on as Celtic look to push for an equaliser?
