Video: Man Utd’s Phil Jones Produces an Epic No-Look Backwards Header

Phil Jones really is a special breed of footballer; a player like no other we’ve seen in modern day British football.

The Manchester United defender is enjoying himself back in the Red Devils’ starting line-up  after an injury ravaged campaign last season, and he even found time to pull out the flicks and tricks against West Ham in the EFL Cup last night.

It was barely noticed by fans watching at the time, but with United leading 1-0 in the first-half, Jones chased a loose ball towards the half-way line and, well, he produced what can only be described as a no-look backwards header.

We have no idea if this really was deliberate, but we’re willing to give him the benefit of the doubt:

He might not produce your typical flicks and tricks but Phil Jones is definitely a showman – and with skills like this, we can only take our hat off to him.

Well played, Phil. Excellent work.
