Chelsea managed to see off Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this evening but they had goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to thank for an utterly brilliant save in injury time.

The Blues made it 10 league wins in a row after Cesc Fabregas scored the only goal of the game against Sunderland, in a result which leaves the club six points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The result strengthens their challenge to reclaim the English crown, and if Antonio Conte is indeed lifting the famous trophy come May, he’ll definitely be looking back at this moment and thanking his Belgian keeper:

When Courtois was chosen to replace Cech at Chelsea back in 2015, some seen it as a questionable decision, but the former Ateltico Madrid keeper is now living up to his big billing.

Will Chelsea be Premier League champions this season? And is Courtois now one of the league’s best goalkeepers?
