With Harry Kane in such a rich vein of form, Janssen has been kick his heels on the bench for much of the season ever since arriving from AZ last summer in a deal worth around £17 million, but it’s fair to say that when he has played, he’s hardly been convincing.
Tonight, for the third round FA Cup tie against Aston Villa, Kane was given a rest and Janssen given an opportunity to show what he can do against a Championship side.
However, it seems the 22-year-old’s efforts haven’t really been appreciated:
Enjoying Janssen's store-brand Giroud performance.

Must admit, if Janssen doesn't at least make the keeper work for his wages. I will start to question his ability for Spurs. #doubtgrowing

Idc what anybody says Janssen isn't the competition we need, we only got him because he had cheap wages and Levy is stubborn af.

Has Janssen’s performance really been that bad? Does he deserve all of this criticism? And shouldn’t Spurs fans be giving a young player more of a chance?
