Artur Boruc’s Twitter Activity Suggests He’d Be Open to Celtic Return

Either Artur Boruc is open to a return to Celtic – or he’s continuing to enjoy the love from Hoops fans seven years after his exit from the club.

The Polish goalkeeper currently turns out for Bournemouth in the English Premier League, but he’s been brought into the discussion surrounding Craig Gordon’s potential move to Chelsea.

The Stamford Bridge club bid for the Hoops goalie earlier this week, hoping to sign him up as a replacement for Asmir Begovic, who is believed to be interesting Bournemouth.

So Boruc could find himself involved in this little goalkeeper merry-go-round – or at least some Celtic fans want him to be.

He’s still hugely popular from his five-year spell at Parkhead and, at 36, could still do a job for the Hoops.

One supporter told him that via Twitter yesterday, calling on the club to announce the signing. And Boruc liked the tweet:

There’s probably nothing in that – as Gordon will no doubt stay at Celtic in the window, meaning Boruc will have to settle for remaining at Bournemouth or finding football elsewhere.

But it suggests he’d be keen on a return if the Hoops came calling.

Celtic fans – would you welcome Boruc back to the club?
