Celtic’s Patrick Roberts Gives ‘Idiot’ Leigh Griffiths a Geography Lesson

Celtic’s Patrick Roberts Gives ‘Idiot’ Leigh Griffiths a Geography Lesson

Lets hope Leigh Griffiths‘ New Year’s resolution is to brush up on his geography after his knowledge of flags was brutally shown up by team-mate Patrick Roberts.

The pair have travelled to Dubai with their fellow Hoops colleagues for a spot of warm-weather training during the Scottish Premiership’s winter break, and Griffiths thought he’d send out a short and simple Instagram post to mark his trip the United Arab Emirates as he settled into his seat for a long flight.

There’s nothing wrong with that, right? Well, there wouldn’t be – if Griffiths had managed to use the correct flag emoji:

Optimized-Flag

Unfortunately, Griffiths used the Palestine flag – and Roberts was probably doing him a favour by pointing it out before someone else did. At least we all know Griffiths’ post was well meaning.

The striker has now updated the post and amended the error, but it definitely gave us a chuckle on an otherwise dull Friday night.

Please, Leigh, never change.
