Fraser Aird announced his departure from Rangers this evening by posting a classy goodbye message to the club’s staff, fans and players.
The 21-year-old Canadian international has been on loan with MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps since January 2016, but he’ll be continuing his career back in Scotland after signing a deal with Championship side Falkirk until the end of the season.
But the defender was keen to stress how much he enjoyed his time playing for the Gers and how grateful he was to all those who’d helped him along the way.
Even Ally McCoist managed to get himself a mention:
Having progressed through Rangers’ youth academy, Aird made his first-team debut back in 2012 and went on to make 62 league appearances for the Govan side before heading to Canada.
What do you make of his decision to sign for Falkirk? Surely he could do a job for a team in the Premiership, no?
