Jose Mourinho Says There’s No Better Right-Back in Football than Antonio Valencia

Jose Mourinho has lavished praise on his Manchester United right-back Antonio Valencia, claiming there is no player as good as he is in his position currently playing the game.

The Ecuador international has enjoyed a stellar season and has been one United’s most consistent performers since Mourinho arrived last summer, which has resulted in the club extending his contract until 2018 earlier this week.

The 31-year-old spent most of his career as a right-winger before Sir Alex Ferguson converted him towards the end of his time in charge, and it seems to have added years onto Valencia’s career.

And speaking to the media ahead of United’s trip to Stoke City this weekend, Mourinho bestowed just about the highest praise he could onto one of his players:
