Patrice Evra is no stranger to controversy when it comes to Manchester United v Liverpool.
The Frenchman was involved in some fiery encounters during his time at Old Trafford.
Most notably, he was at the centre of a race row after Reds nemesis Luis Suarez aimed an offensive slur at him back in October 2011.
Suarez was subsequently handed an eight-game ban by the FA.
Evra at the wind-up
And Evra has been stirring those old memories on social media as the powderkeg clash between United and Liverpool looms this afternoon.
Evra took to Instagram to post some throwback pics from previous clashes in recent seasons.
He said: “When I loved the moments where they tried to break my legs. I LOVE THIS GAME.”
The post was a little more serious than we’re used to from Evra.
The Juventus full-back – currently linked with a move back to England – has gained himself a reputation for posting amusing clips online.
In one of his recent videos, he filmed himself singing ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ to his 1.5million followers on Instagram.
