Mc25 #2 – Moussa Dembele

Mc25 #2 – Moussa Dembele

We’re sure every single person would have been expecting to see Moussa Dembele at the top end of our Mc25, and that’s exactly where he is.

Big things were expected of the French striker when he joined Celtic from Fulham in the summer due to his high reputation down south and he has certainly delivered with talk of a £20 million move to West Ham brewing recently.

Dembele may not have got off to the best of starts in green and white but since scoring his first goal against Astana from the penalty spot, the forward has gone on to net 18 times including five goals in three games against rivals Rangers.

With Zinedine Zidane holding high praise for the 20-year-old and a number of English cubs no doubt thinking of taking Dembele back south it’s a case of ‘enjoy him while you can’ for most Celtic supporters.

Had he been here for the whole of 2016, we’re sure he may just have took number one spot.

What They Said

“Pure class. Fortunate that he has chosen Scotland as this particular stopping off point in what should be a top level career.  Celtic fans know they are watching a special talent.”

– BT Sport’s Derek Rae.

“Moussa Dembele is living proof that doing your research properly actually does work. Celtic spent nine months working on how to get him to Glasgow while major clubs in London failed to respond the the gem in their midst, and must now realise it’ll take a small country’s national budget to sign him.”

– Clyde 1’s Hugh Keevins.
