After spending various different loan spells at the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace and Norwich City, Bamford is set to sign for Middlesbrough, where the 23-year-old won the Championship’s Player of the Year during a loan spell at the Riverside in 2015.
The Guardian claim Bamford will sign a four-and-a-half year deal with Aitor Karanka’s side and Chelsea could end up reaping a fee in the region of £10 million for the England Under-21 international.
£10 million?! It shouldn’t be forgotten that Chelsea signed Bamford for just £1.5 million from Nottingham Forest in 2012 and he’s NEVER made a senior appearance for the Blues.
So, without ever playing him in their first-team, Chelsea have managed to increase their asset by £8,500,000 and some fans are pretty surprised:
£10m for Bamford, surely not???

You might think Bamford's overpriced at £10m, but that's actually infinity pounds for each Premier League goal he's scored

What do you make of the price? And how do Chelsea continually extract inflated transfer fees for players that don’t really contribute to them?
