Patrick Roberts Hails Impact Scott Sinclair Has Made on Him and Celtic

Patrick Roberts has hailed Scott Sinclair for the impact the winger has made on him and Celtic.

The Hoops winger spoke to the media today ahead of his side’s league clash with St Johnstone on Wednesday night – fresh from his impressive cameo against Albion Rovers yesterday.

Roberts was a 75th-minute substitute in the Scottish Cup fourth round game at the Excelsior Stadium with the score at 1-0 to Celtic.

But it finished 3-0, with Roberts having a big hand in both Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong’s goals to finish off the scoring.

He’ll no doubt get a start on Wednesday night if Brendan Rodgers looks to freshen up his team so that could explain his press appearance today.

And Roberts chose to praise team-mate Sinclair – who opened the scoring in yesterday’s game – for the impact the winger has made on him since arriving from Aston Villa in the summer:

Celtic fans will be hoping Roberts can become as prolific as Sinclair between now and the end of the season – when he’s expected to return to Manchester City.

Sinclair’s goal yesterday was his 13th of the campaign, while Roberts has only four, but the little English winger has impressed more with his build-up play rather than his goals.
