A random Celtic strip popped up among the Algeria support at the African Cup of Nations last night.
We’re used to seeing the jersey of the Scottish champions at random events, including Conor McGregor’s recent UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez in New York.
But we were surprised to see a Hoops shirt among the Algeria fans cheering on their country against Senegal in their AFCON clash yesterday:

Algeria drew 2-2 and therefore exited the competition with just two points from their three games – but this supporter didn’t look too disappointed as he proudly showed off the colours of the Premiership giants.
They were one of the pre-tournament favourites and boasted a squad with some impressive talent, including Leicester City duo Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani.
But their performance was underwhelming and has now led to manager Georges Leekens resigning from his post.
As for Celtic, they’ll be glad to know their supporters extend as far as Algeria.
