Rangers Boss Mark Warburton Volunteers at Drop-In Centre For Homeless and Vulnerable

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has taken some time off from the stresses and strains of the Scottish Premiership this week by volunteering at a drop-in centre for Glasgow’s homeless and vulnerable people.

Warburton gave up his time at the Glasgow City Mission, who work in conjunction with the Rangers Charity foundation, and he helped by serving soup, sandwiches and drinks to those who’d came to the mission that evening looking for a hot meal.

Warburton’s appearance at the mission was off the back of the Big Ibrox Sleep Out in November, which saw supporters raise money by spending a night pitch-side inside the Gers’ iconic stadium.

All in all, according to the Rangers Charity, the initiative raised a whopping £52,000 which was split between Glasgow City Mission, The Simon Community and the Foundation – meaning the Mission now has enough for a further 17,000 hot meals.

The mission helps around 130 homeless and vulnerable people every evening from Monday to Friday throughout the year, and if you’d like to find out more about how you could get involved, you can do so here.

It’s probably safe to say Mark Warburton’s good deed for the week has definitely been done.

In this week’s show, Daniel is joined by website editor Jonny as they get stuck into the January transfer window and what’s to come for Scottish clubs. Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Kilmarnock, Hibs and more all get the coverage!
