Julio Arca rolled back the years with a 40-yard lob for South Shields this afternoon.
The Argentinian is well known to English football fans after spending 13 years playing for Sunderland and then Middlesbrough.
He joined Sunderland in 2000 from Argentinos Juniors and went on to make 177 appearances for the club, helping them to the Championship title in 2005.
Arca then went on to sign for Middlesbrough and played 181 times for them before retiring in 2013.
But he wasn’t finished entirely with football, choosing to remain in the north of England to live and now appearing for Northern League Division One side South Shields.
And even at the age of 35, he’s still got plenty of quality left in his boots.
Arca scored from 40 yards for South Shields in their clash against Team Solent and luckily someone was on hand to capture it on camera:

How Sunderland wish they had some quality in their team like that at the moment.
