Hearts target Esmael Goncalves scored a beautiful goal for Anorthosis Famagusta this week.
The Portuguese attacker appears set to move from the Cypriot outfit to the Jambos – linking up with Ian Cathro two years after they were together at Rio Ave.
Goncalves is known to Scottish football fans after his brief stint with St Mirren in 2013.
He scored eight goals in 16 games for the Buddies, including a strike in their League Cup final victory over Hearts at Hampden.
But now the winger is set to move to Tynecastle in what could be a very shrewd signing from Cathro.
Goncalves was involved in Anorthosis’ Cup clash with ASIL on Wednesday and hit a beautiful goal as they won the match 5-0:
That’s the kind of quality Hearts fans will be hoping to see more of when the Portuguese attacker becomes a Jambo.
At just 25, Goncalves will also hope that the move to Tynecastle can help rebuild a career that has stalled after initially looking so promising.
