Henri Lansbury could be on his way to Celtic in the January transfer window, if reports are to be believed.
The Nottingham Post today wrote that the Nottingham Forest captain is highly rated by Brendan Rodgers and may be available with his contract set to expire in the summer.
But why are Celtic sniffing about Lansbury? Well, we’re not too sure, but one thing we do know is that the former Arsenal man would be an entertaining addition at Parkhead:
First Off, He’s a Great Player

Lansbury broke through Arsenal’s youth set-up before spending some time out on loan and eventually settling at Forest. He was an England Under-21 international and has since went on to play 150 times for the City Ground side – proving very popular with fans, earning the captaincy in 2015.
The Forest Fans Love Him
He’ll Have the Best Barnet at Celtic..
Like David Beckham Lite.
Lansbury Growing Close to a Young Fan is a Lovely Story
Young Tyler Cove is just one Forest fan who has been sent a touching message by Lansbury – with the club captain sorting the youngster, who has Down Syndrome, out with a club shirt. You can read about the story here.

Arsene Wenger Had This to Say About Him Five Years Ago..
Per arsenal.com: “Henri Lansbury is in a situation where I believe he will make a career. At the moment it is a bit congested for him but I believe he has the talent to play for Arsenal Football Club. I have to give him a chance at some stage and as quickly as possible. I believe in him. But if I honestly believe he will not play this season or has no chance to compete for a position I will tell him and let him go.”
And Rodgers Obviously Rates Him..
Brendan Rodgers tried to sign Lansbury for Swansea back in 2010 so knows all about the midfielder. At the time, the Celtic manager, per bbc.co.uk, said: “He’s a very talented young player, has a terrific pedigree and he’s been brought up really well. I know the people at Arsenal well and they do a wonderful job in developing their talent and I also know it’s important for them that the players go to the correct clubs.”
