Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin Posts Positive Injury Update Following Alonso Clash

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has provided the club’s supporters with a positive update following yesterday’s clash with Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso.

Bellerin was brutally clattered by Alonso as both players contested a header after the ball had rebounded back off the crossbar following a Diego Costa effort.

Visibly shaken by the incident, Bellerin had to be substituted, and given he’s arguably the Gunners’ best player, fans would’ve been praying it wasn’t a serious setback.

However, this morning via social media, the Spain international reassured his followers that he’ll be OK, and is recovering at home, and seems positive that he’ll be back on the pitch sooner rather than later:

In Bellerin’s absence, Arsenal went on to lose 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, in a result which not only probably ends their attempt to win the Premier League title, but could also throw their top-four hopes into doubt.

What did you make of the tackle yesterday? Was Alonso lucky to get away with it?
