Ashley Young Says He Helped Little Pitch-Invading Fan Back to Stand After Zlatan Goal

Ashley Young says he helped the little pitch-invading Manchester United fan back to the rest of their supporters after Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s winning goal against Blackburn yesterday.

The Englishman was in the team from the start as Jose Mourinho attempted to safely make it through to the quarter finals of the FA Cup.

And although it wasn’t a simple game, United got the job done thanks to the brilliance of Paul Pogba and Zlatan.

Danny Graham had given Blackburn an early lead at Ewood Park before Marcus Rashford hit back for the visitors before half-time.

An hour passed and Mourinho brought Pogba and Zlatan off the bench – and it didn’t take long for them to make the difference as the latter ran on to the former’s through ball to fire home.

That sparked wild scenes among the travelling supporters, including one kid who bolted from the stand to celebrate with his heroes.

Unfortunately, he slipped as he got to Zlatan, but Young was on hand to pick him up and take him back to the stand:

That’s a lovely gesture from the United wideman – and no doubt necessary as the stewards may have decided to escort the little man away from the action.

FA Cup holders United are now into the quarter finals and will face Chelsea in a bid to set up a Wembley visit for the semis.
