Blackburn Rovers have parted company with Owen Coyle this afternoon – and everyone seems to think Mark Warburton is the man to take over from him.
Rovers have battled against relegation from The Championship all season and currently sit just three points from safety in 23rd place, and with Warburton currently seeking new employment following his controversial Rangers exit, fans are putting two and two together.
Warburton, his assistant David Weir and recruitment boss Frank McParland have been out of work since it was announced by Rangers they had resigned from the club earlier this month – only for that to be denied by all three men.
The case looks set to roll on for some time behind the scenes, and after Warburton was previously linked with Nottingham Forest, some think Blackburn is now his route back into management in England:
Mark Warburton will be the next Blackburn manager you heard it here first ?

I would love Warburton or Rowett. More realistically Ainsworth, but I don't think any of them will work under the cur't regime #Rovers

There is no chance in hell Rowett comes. He can do a lot better. Mark Warburton? #rovers

I'd bring Warburton in if anyone

Owen Coyle sacked? Perfect job for Warburton and McParland to get. They can easily scout Burnley, Wigan and Preston from there.
