Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has taken a broad swipe at Anthony Stokes on Twitter, accusing the striker of impersonating a footballer.
Jordan is no longer involved with Palace, having left when they went into administration in 2010, but it seems the mobile phone entrepreneur still keeps a close eye on some of football’s goings on.
Earlier this week, we told you how Jordan had weighed-in to the ongoing Rangers management situation, insisting that Gers fans deserved a break.
And earlier today, Jordan gave his thoughts on Anthony Stokes’ recent brush with the law, and it’s fair to say the Blackburn Rovers man isn’t remembered too fondly by Jordan:
Before joining Celtic, Stokes had a short spell at Selhurst Park back in 2009, whilst on loan from Sunderland, and he managed to score just one league goal in 13 appearances for The Eagles.
Sadly, Stokes isn’t on Twitter, so we won’t be holding our breath for a reply any time soon.
