Karim Benzema Gets Fined After Posting Weird Iguana Picture

Karim Benzema can’t turn around without getting into serious trouble these days, after the Frenchman was handed a fine for a picture he uploaded where he is holding an iguana.

The Real Madrid striker is still being investigated over the Mathieu Valbuena sextape scandal, an incident which has undoubtedly affected Benzema’s form as he has scored just five goals in 16 games this season.

And now it seems the 29-year-old has landed himself in hot water again, after being photographed holding an endangered iguana while on holiday.

The former Lyon striker spent his winter break in Martinique, where he showed his David Attenborough side by getting hands on with the local wild life:

However, the Martinique National Park weren’t best pleased when the picture of Benzema and his scaly friend went viral, issuing a fine to the footballer.

It’s being reported that the authorities are livid with Benzema, as it is against their policy to hold any of the endangered species or to be photographed with them.

Yikes.
