Leicester Fans Light Up King Power Stadium in Tribute to Claudio Ranieri

Leicester City played like the team that tore the Premier League to shreds last season in their first match without Claudio Ranieri – but the fans still paid him a warm tribute.

The Foxes ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Monday evening under the guidance of interim manager Craig Shakespeare, with the likes of Jamie Vardy and Danny Drinkwater looking like their old selves.

It might have been a strong performance, but the fans didn’t forget the glory Ranieri brought them last season, and after many brought banners and signs to the match, the entire stadium united by lighting up their mobile phones just after the hour mark:

We have no idea if Ranieri even watched the game, but if he did, we’d absolutely love to know his thoughts on the rejuvenated display from his former charges.

What do you think of the light display? Naff or class?
