Rangers Fans Really Don’t Want Billy Davies as Their Next Manger

Billy Davies has been mentioned on social media as a potential successor to Mark Warburton at Rangers – but the club’s loyal fan-base seem to be absolutely seething at the mere suggestion.

Following the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Ross County at Ibrox, Rangers are now sitting third in the Premiership table, and are a whopping 27 points behind runaway leaders Celtic.

The failure to launch any sort of tangible challenge to their bitter Glasgow rivals this season has seen current boss Warburton take a lot of stick from supporters, and a parting of ways could very well be coming this summer.

Former Motherwell, Derby and Nottingham Forest manager Davies has previously claimed that he was approached about the Rangers gig before Warburton took over in 2015, and now his name is being put back in the frame again on Twitter:

But rumours that Davies could potentially step into the breach really hasn’t gone down well with Gers fans, with barely any finding a nice word to say about the 52-year-old:

That seems pretty unequivocal, eh?

Do you think Davies would be such a poor appointment for Rangers? Would he really be that bad?
