Before today’s Serie A clash against Torino, the Roma squad took time to visit injured full-back Alessandro Florenzi in hospital.
Florenzi tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during a training session on Tuesday – the same injury which plagued the 25-year-old just four months ago.
Roma have since confirmed that Florenzi will definitely miss the rest of the season, with the player being expected to face an excruciating eight months on the side lines.
However, Florenzi is blessed to have the unwavering support of his teammates as he battles back from injury, with the entire squad choosing to visit the Italian international before today’s game:

And Florenzi was quick to Tweet his gratitude for the gesture:
Sono un uomo e un calciatore fortunato: ho scoperto di avere tante persone che mi vogliono bene. Grazie, grazie, grazie a tutti. Ale ❤ pic.twitter.com/BrSWThtBIV

Translated from Italian, Florenzi’s message reads: “I am a lucky man: I found out I had so many people who care about me. Thank you, thank you, thank you all. ALE ❤.”
Roma are currently third in the table, behind Napoli and Juventus, with a game in hand.
However, a win for Luciano Spalletti’s side today would see the club leapfrog Napoli into second place and close the gap on Juve to just seven points.
