The Tottenham midfielder and striker are known as two of Europe’s brightest prospects under 25, and helped turn their team into title contenders last season.
And Kane has revealed how he first met Alli at the start of the 2015/16 season, as the midfielder arrived from League One side MK Dons.
Speaking via the Evening Standard, Kane explained: “When he first came to Spurs we were training and he was young and had just come from MK Dons.
“I weren’t expecting it but he ‘megged me. I lost my head a bit and tried to take him out thinking ‘Who’s this young player coming in and nutmegging me?’
“I chased him round for a few minutes but I didn’t want to get nutmegged again so just stayed up front!”
He probably did well to stay up-front, because it’s there that Alli has managed to pick out Kane time and time again for goal after goal.
After his introduction, Alli went on to claim the PFA Young Player of the Year award after his stunning first campaign in the top-flight, as well as a place at Euro 2016 with England.
What do you think of Kane’s story? And just how good a player is Alli?
