Video: Alex McLeish Sounds Like He Really Wants the Rangers Job

Alex McLeish is present at Ibrox this afternoon as a pundit for Sky Sports, and it definitely sounds like he wants to be considered for the Rangers manager’s job.

McLeish is at the top of some bookmakers’ odds as the man to replace outgoing boss Mark Warburton, who departed the club in acrimonious circumstances on Friday night.

Of course, a former Gers manager himself, McLeish was asked live on Sky before the match if he’d welcome an approach to resume his old post, and he certainly didn’t say no:

Also in the frame for the job appears to be Billy Davies, although fans would surely been keen on McLeish, given he is a former treble winner for the club, and has knowledge of what it takes to manage a club of Rangers’ size.

But what do you think? Does Eck sound desperate for the call? Or should the club’s hierarchy look for somebody completely fresh to take over?
