Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is famous for his thorough and meticulous preparation but it seems the Italian’s research hasn’t quite made its way to Joey Barton quite yet.
The Blues go into this weekend’s trip to Burnley sitting a comfortable nine points clear at the top of the table, and there’s every chance that gap could grow if other results go their way.
But in his pre-match press conference earlier today, Conte appeared to have some problems naming any of Burnley’s squad – and in particular, Barton.
For a man with an ego the size of Barton’s, this will definitely sting a little bit:

Since returning to Burnley in January, Barton has scored once and looks to be regaining some of his form which was so badly lacking during his ill-fated spell at Rangers.
Perhaps the midfielder will use Conte’s remarks to fire him up in time for Sunday’s kick-off.
We can’t wait to find out.
