Video: Mark Warburton Says He Was Misquoted on Stats After Ross County Game

Mark Warburton insists he was misquoted on his statistics after Rangers‘ 1-1 draw with Ross County at the weekend.

The Ibrox manager has had to face more criticism over the last few days after dropping two points at home to the Staggies on Saturday.

That result followed a 4-1 hammering to Hearts at Tynecastle last week and leaves Rangers third in the Scottish Premiership table, 27 points behind leaders Celtic.

Warburton spoke post-match about the positives in the game, with his side dominating the ball as well as shots on target.

But it’s the result that counts – something plenty of Gers fans were happy to remind him of on social media.

The Rangers gaffer has spoken to the club’s own media team and reiterated his belief that they simply have to be more clinical, while mentioning he was misquoted at the weekend:

Rangers have a big game to bounce back in when they face Morton at Ibrox on Sunday in the Scottish Cup.

A positive result would send them into the quarter finals of the competition and maintain their bid for at least one piece of silverware this season.
